I just discovered that I received an Honorable Mention in the 21st Edition of The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror 2008 for "And a Song in Her Hair" in Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine #26.

I know there are writers on my flist who get one or two (or five) of these pretty much every year, but for me this is a happy-making thing and a bit of reassurance that my growth as a writer is still moving in the right direction.
