Commenting at the site isn't working for me, so I'll say here: hooray for this post! Very funny; I can totally hear you saying all of this as your writing progresses.

I say, if it gets the stories told and doesn't actually land you in the grave or the loony bin, then it must be right for you!

Very nice!

That's not unlike what I do, really. I often have to have a synopsis or outline to satisfy the publisher or my agent, but that's just smoke and mirrors. It doesn't help ME at all, other than to provide hilarity when ifinally figure the book out.
