"The Fleas They Carried" A Relief Anthology

Announcing the publication of "The Fleas They Carried: Animal Aid Anthology." It is now (finally!) available on Lulu in both electronic (.pdf) and paperback (A5, perfect bound). Many thanks to the contributing authors:

Jetse de Vries
Jennifer Brozek
Michael Merriam
Michael Stone
Eugie Foster
Diane Payne
and Michael Jasper (who is a 2X contributor to Relief Anthology)

ALL proceeds from "The Fleas They Carried" will be donated to reputable shelter and rescue groups that have been hit hardest by environmental disasters. The editor will be matching (out of his own pocket) dollar-for-dollar (within reason now, don't break the bank) and donating matched funds to the ongoing efforts involved with the 600 dogs that were rescued from several puppy mills earlier this year in the PACNORWEST.

Thanks again to the authors for their donation of words to this cause. Stay tuned... there will be more coming from ReliefAnthology.com.

As a massive Tim O'Brien fan this is very cool. Am I right to assume the stories are rescue animal related?

Cheers,

Chris

I think they're all short stories about animals. [livejournal.com profile] mmerriam's story, "Fetch" is about a ghost dog haunting a broken man.

Michael: You might suggest to the publisher that it'd be nice if the marketing info included some description of the content.

What? I can't just assume that because I know, everyone else will know what's in the anthology?

No?

I'll get on that... Just for you though.

At last, we share a TOC! I just ordered some copies. Now poor Mr Richards has to match the proceeds. That guy has a big heart.

Finally we are in a ToC together! I'm thinking I might buy a few to take around and sell at conventions. It might help get the word out a bit, and I've three more cons to attend this year.

You know, the parallels in this anthology are pretty neat:
2 stories with Oklahoma referenced
2 stories with Greyhounds
2 stories written by authors working with degenerative vision condition...

...and there was another one but I forgot a.t.m. ... *durnit*
