In your quest to go from temp-to-perm kitten to permanent kitten, it might be wise of you NOT PEE ON THINGS. The more so since I know you know how to use your litter box properly.

That said, I know you are a stressed-out kitten in a new environment with a cranky older cat who doesn't seem to like you very much and you're just trying to mark some territory. That's why I'm only a little mad at you.

Also, you are still very cute.

I see you'll soon be investing heavily in Nature's Miracle spray. It's worth the money, only thing I've found that completely takes out the pee smell.

I hated it when my cats peed on stuff. Once they peed on a brand new (expensive!) duffel bag and all my gym clothes and shoes because they were mad at me. I wanted to chuck them out the window (the cats, not the bag and stuff).

It's definitely a good thing that Belyn is adorable. That goes a long way where inappropriate peeing is concerned. I think cats know that, too, and sometimes milk it for all it's worth. Best of luck with Belyn.

We are already quite familiar with Nature's Miracle! Selena went through a phase a couple of years ago where she was peeing on the carpet, trying to mark her territory against the neighbor's cat, who was coming up to our patio door and peering inside.

Our cats are fixed so this type of problem hasn't come up. We still have the occasional hairball though. YUCK!

Belyn just got fixed, so I am hopeful that once the hormones come down, this will stop.

We occasionally used a product called Feliway pheromone dispenser when our cats were stressed. It did help keep that behavior down. Your vet probably sells it or knows where you can buy it.

They have an advertisement running on a screen in my vets office for Feliway. It is something we are considering.

Yep, our boy cat still likes to mark up the house, even though he'd fixed.
